At the heart of Miami Modest Fashion Week lies the extraordinary vision of its founder, whose heritage bridges East and West. Rooted in the prominent Bugis–Linggi lineage of Negeri Sembilan, part of Malaysia’s rich history, and descended from scholars, statesmen, and cultural leaders, she channels a legacy of diplomacy, education, and trade into a modern platform for fashion, business, and cultural exchange.
She founded and single-handedly funded Miami Modest Fashion Week — the first Modest Fashion Week in the United States — after realizing that no platform existed in the country to celebrate modest fashion. Her pioneering effort positioned ethical and modest fashion as a force for cultural exchange, global commerce, and international diplomacy.
A former management leader in U.S. retail banking for over 17 years, she blends corporate discipline with entrepreneurial vision to create platforms that preserve heritage and unlock creative economies.
Her leadership extends beyond fashion. As Founder & CEO of The Connector Group & Agency LLC, she drives strategic business development, project commercialization, and exclusive event production.
She has also worked closely with Ministers of Tourism from Trinidad & Tobago, Malaysia, and Indonesia, strengthening ties between modest fashion, travel, and cultural diplomacy. Her art projects have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, while her fashion work has been highlighted in Vogue Arabia and other leading publications. In addition, her projects have been recognized by U.S. Government Trade bodies and showcased through Miami Trade platforms, underscoring her role in linking fashion with international business and policy.
Looking ahead, she is also the founder of the upcoming Asia Muslim Fashion & Festival (AMFF), set to debut in Malaysia in 2026, expanding her vision of modest fashion as a bridge between continents and cultures.
